Unfortunately, this will slow down the performance of your computer. All these visual effects take time and processing power from your CPU to perform. Turning them off will help you gain back some performance.
Removing visual effects is quite easy. Just do the following:
1. Right-click 'My Computer'.
2. Left-click 'Properties'.
3. Left-click on the 'Advanced' tab.
4. Under 'Performance', left-click 'Settings'
5. Choose the option called 'Adjust for best performance'.
(You'll realized that all the visual effects will be unticked.)
